Ten Second Epic is back with their sophomore effort, “Hometown” set for release on January 27th, 2009 on Black Box Recordings.

The release of “Hometown”, produced by Garth Richardson in Vancouver, BC, reveals a band that have matured personally, and as songwriters in the past two years. “We knew we had all eyes on us,” states vocalist, Andrew Usenik. We were more focused than ever before.”

“Hometown”, in the literal sense is Edmonton, Alberta – a source of unabashed pride for Ten Second Epic to this day. However, as it relates to the inspiration behind the album title, the band feels that for them, a “Hometown” can be found almost anywhere – this is evident right off the bat with the first track, “Welcome To Wherever You Are”.

“To me, a hometown is the place you feel safest, and for us, that can be anywhere on any given night. The road is now our hometown,” Usenik continues. “The album is a culmination of everything music has given to us.”

thelineband

Passionate, hard-hitting, faith driven, rock, rock, and a little more rock... with some splashes of softer, emotionally driven ballads.  The sound is guitar driven, piano driven, with strong lyrics and catchy melodies.

The group's passion is to make music that seeks truth and a way of life that defies the ordinary.  After 4 months in the studio, Define the Line's debut full length albumn is done and the band is prepared to kick it off with a few local shows, a CD release party, and a summer tour. With a few cross-Canada tours (with other bands) already under their belts, the guys are more than ready to hit the road again to promote their album, play shows, and hang out with new fans.

Jason Zerbin is an Edmonton based indie rock band carrying the name of it's chief songwriter and front-man. Ryan Wegner, Jon Greig, Jeremy Dehek, and Peter Mol fill out the band forming layers of rich melody moving rythm. Unsatisfied with mere musical whim, Jason Zerbin's songs unfold like heaven's melodies peaking through little cracks in the sky and running around the earth. But Instead of boring you with hyperbole or cleverly written prose you should just listen to it. Were pretty sure you'll like it and just maybe it will sneak past your ears and into your heart.
